Threes is the elegant merge puzzle that inspired 2048. You slide tiles, but a 1 and a 2 combine into a 3, and from then on only equal tiles merge (3+3=6, 6+6=12...). Every swipe pushes one row or column and adds a new tile at the edge.

How is Threes different from 2048?
In Threes, 1+2 makes 3 and then only equal tiles merge, tiles slide just one step per swipe, and you can see the next tile. It's slower and more tactical than 2048.
What's the highest tile in Threes?
Tiles double from 3 upward (3, 6, 12, 24...). The theoretical max is 6144, but reaching even 768 or 1536 is a strong score.
Why do I keep filling up the board?
Usually unmerged 1s and 2s pile up. Combine them into 3s quickly and avoid swipes that don't merge anything.
