On a weak PC, the emulator you pick matters less than how your machine is configured. Virtualization support, available RAM and the rendering mode usually decide whether a game runs smoothly or crawls. Here is how to work out what your hardware can handle before you install anything.
Emulation is demanding because it runs a full second operating system. Three things matter most: hardware virtualization enabled in BIOS or UEFI (listed as VT-x, Intel VT or AMD-V and SVM), total system RAM, and disk type. Without virtualization, most emulators fall back to a far slower path. Below roughly 8 GB of RAM you will be fighting for memory, and an SSD makes a large difference to load times over a mechanical drive.
Allocate CPU cores and RAM conservatively — giving the emulator everything starves Windows and makes things worse; leaving roughly half the system free is a reasonable starting point. Lower the virtual device resolution rather than the in-game quality first. Try switching the graphics renderer between the available OpenGL and DirectX modes, since one is often dramatically better on integrated graphics. Cap the frame rate, and close browsers and background apps before launching.
If your PC struggles after tuning, emulation may simply be beyond it. Check whether the game has an official desktop client or a cloud version, or mirror the game from your phone so the phone does the work. For casual play, browser games sidestep the problem entirely — they run in the tab you already have open, with no virtual machine underneath. Whatever you install, download it only from the developer official site.
Why is my emulator so slow?

Can an emulator run on 4 GB of RAM?
