Mahjong Solitaire is a tile-matching puzzle played on a layered layout. You remove identical pairs of tiles, but only 'free' tiles — ones with an open left or right side and nothing on top — can be taken. Clear every tile to win.

1. Before any match, scan the whole board and prioritise tiles that are blocking the most others.
2. When a tile type has all four visible, match them freely; if only two are reachable, think before removing them.
3. Always free up tiles trapped on lower layers and along the centre spine first — they're the hardest to reach later.
4. Avoid removing both of a pair if a different match keeps more options open; keep flexibility for as long as possible.
5. If you stall, use a shuffle/hint sparingly — but first re-check the edges, where free tiles are easy to miss.
