📖 Minesweeper Guide: How to Play, Tips & Strategy

Minesweeper is a logic puzzle: clear every safe square on the grid without detonating a hidden mine. Each revealed number tells you how many mines touch that square — read those numbers together and most of the board can be solved by pure deduction.

1. Start by clicking the middle or a corner — opening a large blank area gives you the most numbers to work from.
2. If a number equals the count of unopened squares around it, every one of those squares is a mine — flag them.
3. If a number already touches that many flagged mines, all its other neighbours are safe to open.
4. Use flagged mines as shared clues between two numbers (the '1-2-1' and '1-2' edge patterns) to crack tight spots.
5. When only a guess remains, pick the square with the lowest probability of a mine — usually along edges, not in dense clusters.
