🎯 Astuces et stratégie

  1. Control the centre — central pieces have more mobility and capture options than ones stuck on the edges.
  2. Use the side columns defensively; pieces on the edge can't be jumped from the missing outer side.
  3. Since captures are usually forced, set up positions where the opponent's required jump lets you re-capture more.
  4. Don't rush to make Kings if it breaks your back row early — a solid back row stops the enemy from crowning.
  5. Trade pieces when you're ahead in material; simplifying makes your advantage decisive.

Questions fréquentes

Are captures mandatory in Checkers?

In most rule sets yes — if you can jump, you must, and multi-jumps continue in one turn. This makes forcing sequences a core tactic.

How do you get a King?

Move a piece all the way to the opponent's back row. It's crowned a King and can then move and capture both forward and backward.

What's the best opening idea?

Fight for the centre and keep your pieces connected so they defend each other; avoid pushing lone pieces where they're easily captured.
